This year the annual Evo Jamboree for new students will be held on Wednesday, 7 September 2011. At the jamboree you will get to know more about HAMK and its degree programmes and also about each other. The event will take place at the Evo campsite and there will be bus transportation from and back to each campus.
The programme includes an adventure trail in the forest, getting to know your own study group and other HAMK students, meals, music and the opening ceremony of the academic year. The meals and evening programme will take place in the pavilion. This event is part of your studies and is free for all students.

Coffee/tea and cheese sandwich (lactose-free) in the tent. Also vegetarian option (without cheese), milk-free option and gluten-free option available.

Adventure trail starts. Each degree programme will form their own group and start off separately.
12.30-14.00
Lunch in the tent – each degree programme separately. Pea soup, rye bread, cucumber slices and drink (lactose-free, gluten-free). For vegetarians vegetable pea soup, rye bread, cucumber slices and drink (lactose-free, gluten-free).
13.00-15.00
Informal get-together and getting to know your new student peers: non-stop activities, karaoke and relaxing around the camp fire.

Opening ceremony of the HAMK academic year in the tent. Speakers: Veijo Hintsanen, Rector of HAMK University of Applied Sciences, Pauliina Hirviniemi, President of the Student Union of HAMK University of Applied Sciences, and Akseli Hakala, President of Finnish Student Sports Federation.

Transportation back to own campus.
Remember to wear suitable outdoor clothing and outdoor shoes because we will be spending the whole day walking outdoors. There will be a kiosk at the jamboree where you can buy refreshments and sweets. If you want to grill sausages, then bring your own sausages along with you.
