The globalization of the metal industry has increased radically over the recent years. All of the large Finnish companies and thousands of small and medium-sized companies are active in international trade, both exports and imports. Furthermore, many of our companies have subsidiaries located around the world.
Along with the internationalization of the business world in Finland, the demand for the internationalization of education has become stronger. Student exchanges and internships are no longer sufficient and so international education programmes are being set up at many academic institutions to meet these demands. The aim is to allow all students to participate in international interaction and to make internationalization an integral part of the daily operations of the study environment.
The Riihimäki campus of the HAMK University of Applied Science has a long history in the instruction of mechanical engineering and production technology. The facilities and services provided by the school are of excellent calibre. Furthermore, we have extensive cooperation with the local businesses in and around the Riihimäki area.
