| Content of Abstracts | Working languages of the congress are English, Finnish and Swedish. English is the main working language. Abstracts must be in one of the working languages of the congress. Abstracts should not exceed 250 words, inclusive of the title of the paper and the name(s) of the author(s). The title should be in capital letters. It should be brief, clearly indicating the nature of the research or the case study. State author name(s), institutional affiliations, city and country. Do not include degrees or addresses.
The text of the abstract should include:
• A statement of the purpose of the study, case or project (preferably in one sentence)
• A brief description of the methods used
• A summary of the results obtained
• A conclusion
• Reflections and concrete proposals for action stimulated by the research or case
Place an asterisk * sign after the name of the presenter. Type the abstract single-spaced. Use Times New Roman font with no less than 10 and no more than 12 point font size. Do not use script or italicised type. Use Arabic numerals for all numbers except at the beginning of a sentence where they should be written out. Use standard abbreviations and symbols. Keep abbreviations to a minimum and define each one when it is used for the first time.
Practice based inquiry is a family of different kinds of inquiry. However, the common feature is that practice plays a central role in the orientation of inquiry. There is no single general approach that could be called the practice based inquiry. The very reason for this is that practiced based inquiry has been and is done within research community without an identity of its own. The natural companions for practiced based inquiry one can find out from, for example, action research.
There is a proper need for search for an identity of practice based inquiry. This can be done only by cooperation between inquirers of different fields of inquiry. In the present congress we will search for the identity of practice based inquiry by focusing the attention to philosophical and methodological aspects of practice based inquiry. Besides the philosophical and methodological aspects we will consider principles of the factual research work in the practice based inquiry. | |

| 9. Metodologiseminarium: Praxisinriktad forskning | Vårt syfte är att granska tematiken inom praxisinriktad forskning ur flera, på många sätt till varandra kopplade aspekter. Dessa aspekter skulle kunna beskrivas som filosofisk-begreppsliga, teoretisk-praktiska samt etisk-pedagogiska aspekter.
Språken på kongressen är engelska, finska och svenska. Huvudspråket är engelska. Sammandragen måste skrivas på något av dessa språk. Sammandraget får innehålla högst 250 ord och ska inkludera studiens namn samt upphovsmannens/-männens namn. Studiens namn ska skrivas med versaler. Rubriken ska ge en tydlig bild av studiens innehåll. Kom ihåg att inkludera författarens namn, ort och anknytning till utbildningsanstalterna i sammandraget. Nämn inga titlar eller adresser.
Sammandraget ska innehålla:
• studiens eller projektets mål (helst i en mening)
• en kort beskrivning av de forskningsmetoder som använts
• en sammanfattning av studiens resultat
• slutsats
• tankar och konkreta förslag på vidareåtgärder som studien gett upphov till.
Skriv en asterisk (*) vid namnet på personen som presenterar arbetet. Använd radavstånd 1 och Times New Roman (storlek 10-12) i sammandraget. Undvik att kursivera. Använd arabiska siffror i texten, förutom då siffror inleder en mening. Dessa ska då skrivas ut i bokstäver. Användning av förkortningar och symboler rekommenderas inte.
Om du måste använda en allmän förkortning, precisera dess innehåll första gången den används.
Identiteten hos praxisinriktad forskning måste fastställas. På vår kongress kommer vi att gripa oss an denna utmaning genom att fokusera på forskningens filosofiska och metodologiska frågor. Det är dessutom viktigt att kartlägga grundprinciperna inom konkret forskningsarbete. | |
