International projects

HAMK University of Applied Sciences is a coordinator or partner in various international projects funded mainly by the European Union, Nordic Council or the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture. These projects are an important part of higher education as they promote education and staff proficiency and often include student and staff mobility. An international project can also give students an opportunity for internationalisation at home.

Erasmus projects

Erasmus is the European Commission's educational programme for higher education students, teachers and institutions. The programme involves the promoting of student and teacher mobility, teacher mobility, and funding of intensive courses and realising different education development projects.

Leonardo da Vinci programmes

Leonardo da Vinci Programme is a European Community Programme which promotes European cooperation between vocational and higher level institutes and advances education in Europe.

FIRST

For students from our FIRST partners in Russia, it is possible to come and study here via the FIRST programme (Finnish-Russian Student Exchange Programme between Finland and Russia).

Tempus projects

Tempus is a cooperation programme in higher education managed by the European Commission. Tempus is a part of the more extensive Phare and Tacis programmes. The objective of the programme is to develop the higher level education system in the cooperation countries by renovating the education structures and by emphasising teaching and studying.

Nordplus projects

Nordplus is a Nordic exchange programme, which aim is to enhance the co-operation between Nordic higher education institutions. The programme involves the funding of student and teacher mobility.
