Finland has become the premier country internationally in the field of education. We Finns are and always will be inspired by creativity. We value professional know-how, diligence and concrete results of our work. Since Finland is a small country, we have long understood that each citizen is important, and that they all play a prominent role in building our society. Because all of our citizens have an equal access to education, we have focused on developing models that support different learning styles and potentials. This is one of the reasons Finland has succeeded consistently in the OECD PISA survey in the past decade.
Here at HAMK University of Applied Sciences, we offer an applied, multidisciplinary academic learning environment, and the success of our degree programmes is based on strong consensus and cooperation among the labour market and our higher education institution. In addition, HAMK is one of the five higher education institutions in Finland that offers professional pedagogical qualification for teachers in academia. The pedagogical know-how found inside our own institution is consistently reflected in the development of the curricula within our degree programmes.
HAMK offers 29 bachelor-level and 7 master-level degree programmes, and 14 double degree programmes with partner universities around the world. We have around 8000 students and the number of personnel is 870. Seven of our degree programmes are delivered in English. In addition, each field of education offers courses in English for our international exchange students.
